Dentro La Terra is nestled in the small village of Arielli, in Abruzzo—one of Italy's most renowned wine-producing regions and home to an extraordinary ecosystem of rich biodiversity. In Abruzzo, every turn reveals breathtaking vistas, from the soaring peaks of the Apennine mountains to the sparkling Adriatic coast.

Our vision is to ensure that this land not only gains recognition for its natural and cultural beauty but also becomes a meaningful participant in global conversations. Even a small village in rural central Italy can serve as a vibrant hub for dialogue, creativity, and exchange, demonstrating that the local and the global are deeply intertwined.

Dentro La Terra is designed as a rural artist residency program and cultural platform that connects the social, economic, and natural diversity of our region to broader global narratives. Through art, we aim to foster mutual learning, innovation, and creative "contamination" across boundaries, sparking new ideas and collaborations.

This commitment is fueled by:

  • A passion for reimagining the Abruzzo experience, challenging stereotypes of rural Italy and countering the negative effects of traditional tourism by offering meaningful, creative engagement;

  • A dedication to cultural justice, advocating for better access to artistic creation and cultural enrichment for our local communities;

  • A love for our land, which we wish to share with the world in a way that celebrates its authenticity and fosters connection.

At the heart of this vision is the renovation of an ancient palazzo in Arielli. The palazzo will house both commercial holiday rentals and artist residencies, serving as a dynamic space where creativity, dialogue, and cultural regeneration converge. The program will not only reinvigorate the historic center of the village but also empower it to become a beacon of artistic and cultural exchange, ensuring that Dentro La Terra stands as a testament to the power of art to bridge worlds and enrich communities.
