OUR COMMITMENT ON SUSTAINABILITY
Even our beautiful region is increasingly exposed to the impacts of climate events that include heavy snowfall and rain, landslides, coastal erosion and flooding, as well as heat waves.
To make our residents, community and supporters increasingly aware of the importance of climate action, we are committed to improve the sustainability of our operations by:
Sourcing food from local farmers and producers, including our family farm
Reducing energy consumption and gradually investing in energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions
Using re-usable, recyclable or recycled packaging and bottles
Using digital communication means for planning our residencies, instead of travelling
Encouraging the use of ground/sea transport
Planting indigenous trees and plants on our land to offset carbon emissions generated by residents that are obliged to use air transport to reach us
Our commitment is being formalized in a more detailed plan and we will report about progress every year. Our first sustainability update will be published in 2022.
